If there’s one guilty pleasure I’ll admit to, it’s that I love looking through celebrity wedding photos. Whether they’re understated, aspirational, or over-the-top bizarre, it’s fun to explore choices that the ultra-wealthy make on their big day (or days, in the case of some celebs). However, in pulling together these photos, I was surprised to see how many celebrity brides had chosen to stick with rather simple bouquets. Maybe didn’t want to distract too much from their gorgeous, intricate couture gowns or multi-million dollar engagement rings? Or perhaps they’re just of the mindset that less is more? You be the judge from the photos below…
Gabrielle Union carried a bouquet made entirely of ivory white roses when she wed basketball superstar Dwayne Wade.

Duchess Kate Middleton also stuck with an all-white color palette, though her bouquet had quite a few layers of meaning to it. It incorporated delicate Lily of the Valley (symbolizing trustworthiness) and Hyacinth (symbolizing the constancy of love), plus some Sweet William as a nod to her new husband. She also included a sprig of Myrtle from a 170-year-old tree that Queen Victoria had planted in the royal garden!

Kelly Clarkson broke the mold with some bolder flower choices for her rustic-themed country wedding, incorporating classic Sunflowers with some purple and pink blooms.

Drew Barrymore also opted for some color in her bouquet, by way of brightly colored Peonies and Garden Roses.

Nicole Richie chose to be a Peony bride as well, but stuck with an all-white arrangement to let the intricate lacework of her gown really shine.

Reese Witherspoon stuck with a monochromatic bouquet of David Austin Patience Roses, which perfectly complemented her blush-hued Monique Lhuillier dress.

Hilary Duff did the reverse–with blush-colored Dahlias and an ivory gown.

For her tropical-inspired wedding to Nick Lachey, Vanessa Minnillo carried a striking bouquet of red Gloriosa Lilies.

Chrissy Teigen also decided on all-white flowers in her bouquet, but kept things interesting with varying textures and flowing greenery.

Alicia Keys took two rather classic bouquet flowers, Mini Calla Lilies and Wedding Ivy, and created a bridal look that was far from classic once they were paired with her sparkling headpiece and one-shouldered wedding dress.
